My new favorite walk! Sunset Dunes in San Francisco is a new 2-mile, 50-acre public park that was officially opened on April 12, 2025. The park was created by transforming the Upper Great Highway into a 24/7 recreational space. It stretches from Sloat Boulevard to Lincoln Way. The park features new art installations, including a mural that was vandalized but then restored by volunteers. Visitors can be seen walking, biking, and enjoying the new park with their families and pets.
