I have a dear friend whose family mantra is "Every day is a gift." At some point, I stole the mantra for my family, as well. As we get used to our new normal, I think we are all more keenly aware of what is in our control and what is not. |
Nationally, the housing market came roaring back in June, as low mortgage rates and increased economic activity helped push sales of previously owned homes up 20.7% from the prior month according to the Wall Street Journal. Demand was strong from apartment renters seeking more space, young families moving to the suburbs, and wealthy city dwellers looking for second homes. I have personally witnessed this - taking multiple offers on homes in Moraga and Orinda this month. Lamorinda continues to be a desired destination. My sellers are leaving to maximize this one life that we get - going to live the next phase of their lives near loved ones or just right-sizing/right-placing. I'm grateful to continue to do what I love where I love to do it. Below is a look at our local market activity in Moraga and Lamorinda. |
