Our 2020 real estate market is beginning to take shape and we are starting to see our early year inventory increase each week. There are currently 25 active listings in Moraga on the MLS. Of these, 8 are new in the past 5 days and 10 are new construction listings.
For 2020, economist Ken Rosen at UC Berkeley has said he expects the Bay Area median price to remain basically flat, within a general range of up or down 2% - in other words, similar to what happened last year. While we can’t predict the future, that certainly doesn’t sound unreasonable, and happily avoids the sensationalism of many other media-grabbing forecasts.
