Okay... so if you are thinking about selling your home, there has never been a better time to sell. Our inventory is still low and homes are selling at crazy amounts over asking. BUT, and it's a BIG but, where will you go and what will you buy?? If you have a second home where you can live, don't mind a temporary situation between homes or just want to know exactly what funds you will have to work with, you're probably fine to sell first. In my 20 years of experience, though, I have found that most clients are happier when they know where they will be going when they put their current home on the market. This is especially true if you have been in your current home for a long time and/or have raised your kids there.
